L’été et la saison des festivals bat son plein, le moment opportun pour sortir le troisième opus de notre série ‘Club Drums’ remplie de riddims prêts à décaper les dancefloors, et fournis par un roster éclectique et international de producteurices reconnu·es.

C’est Yilan, tout droit venu de Leeds et dernièrement signé sur Grid, Infinite Machine et Earth Movement qui ouvre les hostilités avec un morceau lent et martial dont les rafales de derboukas viendront assaillir vos tympans. La New Yorkaise Sister Zo lui emboîte le pas, forte de sorties chez Scuffed Recs et 3024 avec un roller deep et percutant. Vient ensuite le résident Rinse France, producteur et vocaliste NOIRE avec un banger 4x4 sombre et menaçant. Co-curateur de la sortie et membre du collectif, Kaval apporte son désormais familier ‘FR Funky’ à cet EP. Avec des sorties précédemment chez l’institution berlinoise Tresor ainsi que All Centre, le Zambien SHE Spells Doom est également de la partie. Et pour compléter cette équipe cinq étoiles, Despina de Kindergarten Records clôt ce voyage rythmique avec un banger breaké et chaloupé dont iel a le secret.

With summer and festival season in full swing, the timing couldn’t be more perfect for us to release the third installment of our ‘Club Drums’ series packed full of dancefloor-wrecking heaters, provided by an eclectic roster of international producers.

Kicking things off is Leed’s own Yilan, previously seen on Grid, Infinite Machine and Earth Movement, he opens the release with a slow yet stomping riddim, with flurries or darbukas banging on your eardrums. Hailing from New York, Sister Zo follows up after her banging EPs on Scuffed Recs and 3024 with a deep and hard hitting roller that’s guaranteed to make you move. Following up is Rinse France resident, producer and vocalist NOIRE, delivering a menacing and gloomy 4x4 banger. Egregore member and release co-curator Kaval comes in next with his trademark ‘FR Funky’ sound everybody is now very familiar with. With previous releases on Berlin’s infamous Tresor and All Centre, Zambia’s finest SHE Spells Doom also joins the roster. Rounding up this amazing selection of producers is Kindergarten Records’ Despina, ending this musical onslaught with a wonky, breakbeat-infused dancefloor weapon.
